2004: Obtained the State Diploma (DE) in traditional music – Geographic area: Brazil – guitar specialty.

1997: Diploma of completion of 3rd cycle of the Conservatoire à rayonnement régional of Saint Maur-des-Fossés (94) – classical guitar course – distinction: Silver Medal.

1975-1979: Villa-Lobos Conservatory of Music in Rio de Janeiro. Guitar, theory and harmony (1st and 2nd cycles). Lessons from renowned guitarists: Nestor de Hollanda Cavalcanti, Adamo Prince and Flavio Goulart.

1980-1989: PRO ARTE Conservatory in Rio de Janeiro – Internship and Improvisation Course.

1995-1997: Classical guitar training with Michel Pons at the Conservatoire à rayonnement régional de St Maur-des-Fossés (94). Completion of the 3rd cycle.

Proficiency in various types of guitars: 6-string acoustic guitar, 7-string guitar, cavaquinho, viola caipira, electric guitar. Also proficient in Brazilian percussion.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE:

2007 – 2018: Brazilian guitar teacher at the Atla School in Paris (18th arrondissement).

2010 – 2021: Professor of classical guitar, guitar ensemble and Computer-Assisted Music at the "Georges Bizet" Municipal Conservatory of Le Vésinet (Yvelines). 20 hours per week.

2012 – 2015: Classical guitar teacher at the Bailly School of Music and Dramatic Arts – Noisy-le-Roi (Yvelines). 6 hours per week.

2008 – 2010: Classical guitar teacher at the Fleury-Mérogis Musical and Artistic Centre (Essonne) – Municipal Conservatory. 6 hours per week.

2008 – 2009: Classical guitar teacher at the Henri Dutilleux municipal conservatory in Maisons-Alfort (94). Replacement contract, 12 hours per week.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE RELATED TO BRAZILIAN MUSIC

1989 – 2007: Accompanist guitarist for singers, samba troupes and traditional chorinho and bossa nova groups. Concerts in festivals in France (Nantes, Bourges, Angers, Rennes, Lille) and abroad (Munich, Zurich, Lisbon, Estoril Casino, Verona).

• In Paris, concerts in many renowned venues such as: Le Petit Journal Montparnasse, Théâtre du Rond-Point Champs-Elysées, New Morning, Régine's, Divan du Monde, Pub Mojito Habana, Latino Café, Satellite Café, Escurial and many others.

1997 – 2015: Conductor, arranger and guitarist of the Rio Dancing Orchestra (8 musicians) and the Brasil Social Club (7 musicians), performing various traditional Brazilian music for dance evenings: samba, forró, marcha and carnival frevo, etc.

• Examples of dates with the Rio Dancing Orchestra: carnivals at the Maison du Brésil (2001, 2002, 2003), cocktails and private parties at the Embassy of Brazil in Paris, party for Laboratoires Pharmaceutiques Chiron France, concert at the Trianon Palace in Versailles.

PERSONAL COMPOSITIONS:

Pieces for solo guitar, pieces for voice and guitar accompaniment, and compositions for guitar and small ensemble. camerata (flute, violin, viola, cello and percussion).

• Representations of the Camerata de Renato Velasco : autumn concerts at Wood Cottage organised by the City of Vésinet (2015 and 2017), the musicians composing this group being mostly professors from the Georges Bizet conservatory.

Brazilian Guitar Released in October 2005, is an album of my compositions for solo guitar, accompanied by percussion (free listening on my website).

Brazil Legendary Titles Launched in February 2006, it is a compilation of personal interpretations of famous pieces from the Brazilian repertoire.

Publications of books and articles in specialized press:

January 2006: Publication of my method The Brazilian Guitar Published by Henry Lemoine, still available in music stores today. Transcriptions of over one hundred Brazilian rhythms and references to Brazilian music standards...

2010 to 2017: Regular publication of scores of my pedagogical compositions, commented on by me, in the quarterly magazines Guitare Classique (Latin American Landscape section) and Guitarist Acoustic, both published by Duchâteau.
